So, “The Shopkeeper (By the Docks)” – chalk pastel version on 8” x 10” smooth drawing paper – the first of three versions I’m planning, the second an oil pastel and the third an acrylic painting, each larger than the previous and a takeoff from its predecessor – a little Fauvist touch in here maybe.

Okay -- basically done with it -- the drawing's architecture lacks coherence for me -- it's not a distinctive multimedia mix. Chalk pastels pull me one way, oil pastels another ..
